From the other end of the lens…..

Directing a photoshoot from the other side of the camera is not easy. I had some help from my lovely dad, who is great with a camera but has no experience of studio work…and was in some of he pics with us. We used his D800E, and had fun, and I actually got a “40th” pic that I actually quite like, and some lovely family shots……enjoybeale-2193

Studio Photoshoot with Lois and friends

Lois requested her photoshoot as a Christmas present, and she brought a few friends with her……we had great fun, especially trying to get Snoopy the dog to sit still, as he’s a very lively dog. She also had some pictures with her brother and cousins.

Dog Days!

Dogs – well pets – are one of my favourite photographic subjects.  I’m not entirely sure why, maybe it’s becasue they can’t answer back, or maybe it’s the challenges they can present!  Here are a few of my favourite doggy pics taken over the last year…..

Photoshoot Birthday Party

I was really pleased to get permission from all the parents to be able to share this fun birthday party photoshoot. Ten little 8 year olds in the studio, what a riot! They all seemed to have a lot of fun, and according to her mum, the birthday girl said that it was “the best party ever”!

Drum Kit!

My son has been learning drum kit, and a lot of time spent diligently on ebay resulted in a reasonable quality kit for his birthday. The night before his birthday I got lucky as he was on a night hike with Scouts, and we set it all up in the photography studio while he was out. So, before they were moved into his bedroom, I dropped the black background and subjected him to a photoshoot. I think he got me back by drumming as loud as possible!
